Control AI content in your feeds
Animus AI Blocker helps you hide images and videos that carry supported AI-generation declarations. You choose where protection runs and can reveal filtered content. It is not a universal AI detector: unlabelled AI content can remain visible, and visible content is not certified human-made.
Availability and release updates
Update: 7 September 2026. The previous Chrome review was cancelled. The rebranded extension has not yet been submitted. Android is in private testing, not a public Google Play release. Store approval and availability are not guaranteed by a demo or a test build.
We are not announcing a general-release date or offering a public Android APK here. Confirmed store links and release updates will be added here when available. There is no launch mailing list to join on this page.
Firefox is being tested internally. Safari is planned; neither has a public release announced here. Safari web protection would not mean filtering inside unrelated iPhone or iPad apps. Native iOS social-feed protection has not been established.
What is free, and what will be paid?
Browser extensions are free. The Chrome Early Access release has no ads, subscription or Animus AI Blocker account requirement. Planned browser ports follow the same free-browser approach.
Android native-app protection is a paid product after a trial. Our planned US pricing is $2.99/month or $19.99/year, with the same native protection in both options. Local prices and purchase availability will be confirmed in Google Play before you subscribe. The subscription pays for supported native-app filtering and ongoing compatibility work; it does not depend on a future breakthrough in AI detection.
The Android trial lasts 14 days, begins only when you explicitly start free access, and requires no checkout. Payment reminders begin after the first seven days. Nothing is charged automatically when free access expires. Once purchases are available, subscribing early starts billing immediately; Google Play shows the terms before you agree.
How does filtering work today?
The browser release uses supported, post-specific generation declarations, trusted synthetic Content Credentials when verifiable, and your saved filtering choices. The current Android app covers supported generation labels exposed by the app's accessibility interface. A label hidden inside a menu or shown only after opening a post may be unavailable in a feed preview.
General AI discussion, a missing watermark or a broad AI-editing disclosure is not enough on its own. Optional category rules, such as supported Reddit AI flairs, are personal preferences rather than verified claims about every item. Coverage varies by app and screen; we do not promise every website or every native app works.
What about reaction videos, tutorials and human artwork?
Discussing AI or reacting to someone else's video does not itself mean the post was generated. We aim to preserve that distinction, but incorrect filtering is still possible. A genuine generation declaration can apply to a post that also contains human commentary.
Use Show once to inspect a cover. In the browser extension, Not AI after revealing a post saves a local, whole-post correction; it is not a creator-wide exemption, a report to the platform, or a certified training label. You can also turn off an affected site or app and contact support. Please report misplaced covers and incorrect filtering.
Does a cover stop playback or prevent a counted view?
A cover hides content; it does not control how the platform counts views, engagement or creator earnings. We cannot guarantee that a video has not loaded, started playing or already counted as a view. Android's optional pause feature is experimental and varies by player. Animus AI Blocker never automatically skips or scrolls your feed.
Does Animus AI Blocker collect my feed or train on my corrections?
The current releases do not automatically upload your feed media or local corrections for model training. Browser cloud analysis, report uploads and usage analytics are disabled in the Early Access release. It still fetches a signed safety configuration, and the host processes ordinary request metadata. Android contacts its access service for trial or subscription verification. Local-first does not mean no Internet requests.
Support reports are sent only when you choose to share them. Future community reporting or training contributions would need a separate, explicit choice; they are not current features. Read the platform-specific privacy policy for the actual data practices.
What comes next?
Our priority is reliable covers, supported-app compatibility and wider browser availability. Unlabelled image/video detection is research, not a promised paid feature or guaranteed upgrade. Platform changes can break integrations, which is why maintenance matters.
If a platform's own AI controls meet your needs, use them. Animus AI Blocker aims to offer one consistent set of user controls across supported services; it cannot override their evidence access or guarantee better detection than the platform itself.
AI tools assist development, alongside code review and testing. Free access to a browser extension does not imply that its source code is publicly licensed; we are not announcing an open-source release.
